A knitting life - Tokyo Tversted, is the last book in the trilogy in which Marianne Isager reveals her knitting life through five decades.

In 2001 Marianne Isager met her husband, who at that time lived and worked in Tokyo. During the following 15 years they both commuted between Japan and Denmark and for Marianne it also became an important source of inspiration. Japanese art, fashion and craft were not new to her, but her longer stays in Japan offered the opportunity to make new friendships as well as new work. This book contains 16 new designs inspired by Japan and photographed in Kiyosumi Garden, located in the area where Marianne and her husband lived during the final years of their time in Tokyo.

Tversted, the small village in the northern part of Denmark, is still Marianne's anchor during years of travelling. Tversted is also the base for the cultural center, Tversted Skole, and for the spinning mill, Uldens Hus, which are both owned by the yarn company, Isager, and both offering courses in knitting, spinning and plant dyeing.
